Day 6, October 14, 2008

We had a great nights stay in Cody, Wyoming. The motel had an awesome laundry room. It had 6 clothes washers and 6 dryers! We were able to get our laundry done fast. We left Cody ended up in Custer, South Dakota. We saw many neat things. On Hwy 20 we went to Graybull and saw a large site of old airplanes that are retired from fighting fires. Then we headed south to Worland. Saw a lot of farming on that road. From Worland we headed east to Buffalo. Got into the big horn mountains. There was a lot of desert. From Buffalo to Gillette we saw many oil wells. In Gillette we saw a very large coal mine and alot of train cars full of coal. Then we turned off of Hwy 90 to Hwy 16 and headed to Newcastle, Wyoming and saw our first oil refinery. Dan pulled over to look at a cattle trailer for sale. He wants to try to sell it and pay for part of the trip. Sales in South Dakota? In Newcastle we saw a sign that really made us think of a very special man we know and care deeply about. We all smiled when we took the picture and reflected how our much our pastor means to us. We left Wyoming and entered South Dakota. We saw the Black Hills, alot of antelope, deer and turkeys. We arrived in Custer and are staying across the street from Bedrock, Fred and Wilma Flintstone's place. Good reflections on the old cartoons. We had a blessed day. We finally got some miles in. Thank you for your prayers. Miss everyone.
Miles: 343
