What a great day in Idaho! Started out in Twin Falls knowing that a big winter storm watch was on Hwy 93 and 75 towards Missoula. The same road we chose to take!! So we went to Les Schwab in Twin Falls to buy some snow chains for the trailer. While we were there, we noticed that 2 of the tires on the trailer were coming apart!! Praise the Lord for showing us before entering into the snowy mountains. The Les Schwab employees were running around and hustling nothing we ever saw before in customer service! We asked them what their motivation was and they shared with us that the boss gives them 50% of the profits of the sale if they work fast and hard. What an incentive!! So we left Twin Falls heading north. The kids were reading their history books while we waited for our tires to be changed on the trailer. We saw a sign saying Ice Caves, (it was closed though). We saw a caveman riding on the neck of a dinosaur there. He looked a little nervous and confused. We then came upon a lava rock bed. It was really neat. From there we continued north through some cattle ranching areas and ski areas Sun Valley and Ketchum on Highway 75. We found the snow storm. We used the 4wd very little though. We had a very rare ice crystal on the center cap on the trailer. The Salmon River with all the beautiful trees was awesome. Kent saw an elk and Austin saw a bald eagle soaring in the sky above. So beautiful. Leighton saw a cowboy working on his pickup on the side of the road with a friend, shouting and pointing at the 6 door with his mouth open in amazement. Mallory say a beautiful cross on the side of a mountain. Dan saw a very large dairy north of Twin Falls and a sweet potatoe harvesting crew. Alot of the sprinklers were shut off, but a few that were running were ice cycles. They looked really neat. Tracy saw one of the most beautiful river scenes with a big rock in the midst of the river. We ended up staying here in Salmon, Idaho tonight. We stopped a little earlier today as we turned in pretty late last night. Leighton and Wade had some time to do some school work. We should get more rest tonight. We are grateful to the Lord for keeping us safe and showing us some of His beautiful creation today.
