Day 13, October 21, 2008

Another nice day. We stayed in Davenport, Iowa. From there we went to Moline, Illinois. Nice sunny day. The mornings are getting a little cooler. Leighton and Wade are still trying to keep up with school. In the mornings and evenings they work on submitting them online. Moline is one of the places where John Deere first started making their tractors. Now it is a museum. It was really neat to see some of the first tractors they ever made. We toured the older tractors and then moved on into the building of the newer ones. A lot of history there. We all enjoyed the tours. From there we headed southeast of Moline through more farm ground. Then got on I 80 to go northeast towards Chicago. Illinois' farm ground looks similar to Iowa's. Corn and soybeans and some alfalfa here and there. Silos and tractors. We saw some more "deere" in the roads. We headed towards Chicago because it was a better road. We came into Indiana! We exited off Hwy 35 to La Porte. We had to pay to drive on their highway. That's a first. So far Indiana has more trees full of the beautiful "colors" and more hills. We are headed east today. Hopefully get alot of miles in today. Thank you again for your continued thoughts, comments and prayers.
Miles: 211

Knisely family,
Our family has enjoyed viewing your travels via the blog. You are headed towards the area we moved from. We enjoyed the fall and the beauty God showed in it through the fall folage. Seeing your pictures of the trees reminds of that area. We will continue praying for your family during this trip. We know you will continue to be blessed in your travels. We will continue to be blessed by watching and reading all about it! Take care. The Frederick's
