Day 3, October 11, 2008

Oh what a busy day!! We woke up in Salmon, Idaho next to the beautiful Salmon River. Very beautiful river. Soothing river sounds. Next we started heading up to Missoula, Montana to meet with the Zug Family and the teahers from Eagle Christian School. The Zug family was wonderful to see. They were very gracious to come and meet us in Missoula. It was a very special time of fellowship and very encouraging. They all looked good. A couple of things Sam said to Dan were that he sure appreciates Pastor Woody's sermons and how in depth the teachings are. Dan asked him if he had anything to tell the Parkside church family in Fallon, Nevada and after a moment of thinking about the people he misses in Fallon, he said tell everybody that he loves them, misses them and that we are doing good. What a wonderful brother in the Lord he is. What a wonderful day it will be in heaven when we will all be together as one. Lisa made Mallory a red scarf. Nice timing as it is snowing now. Lisa is still a kick, rip roaring and ready to go. They asked for prayer for their housing needs, but seem very patient while seeking God's will for their lives. Willy and Jeremy said they are really enjoying their new school, but still trying to adapt to the colder weather. Next we met Craig, Niclole Blubaugh and family at their house for a get together with some of the teachers from Eagle Christain School. We had a nice time of fellowship and food. It was very nice of them to do this for us. Nicole Blubaugh has taught Leighton and Wade over the years in many classes from Bible class to Biology. Michael and Molly Reimer were there also with their boys. Molly is Wade's Bible teacher and Leighton's music history and goverment-economics teacher. They have had both these teachers for different classed since Wade was in 7th grade. Due to weather and illness, the other teachers were unable to attend. We had a nice time. From there we headed to Butte, Montana where we are now for the night as the snow began to get heavier. Good time to stop with a trailer and night coming. We saw some buffalo, and a big smoke stack in Anaconda. We saw many, many saw mills along with custom log cabin building companies. We went over Last Trail Pass with 4wd and a solid white road with a little slide here and there. It would have made Grandpa Gunn rub his head a few times!! We saw alot of open land with rolling grass hills and cattle everywhere. You won't believe this....but Dan is doing laundry at our motel. He talked to the night maintenance person and asked if he could use their commerical clothes dryer. He was so excited that they said yes! They were really big and he had less loads to do. In his conversation with them one of them grew up with evil conievels kids and said the Candidate Barak Obama actually rented "this" hotel 2nd floor for candidating in Montana in July. Dan said he enjoyed running the dryers most out of the two conversations. We were pretty tuckered out by the end of the day. May the Lord bless you all. There is a very large storm coming tonight. We are praying for His direction where to go next.

We will be praying on the storm and that God will give you all clear direction. I just dug out our atlas, so that we can follow along. I am hoping to find a larger map that we can post notes on, and little prayers. I am so glad that God called you on this trip. It is such a blessing to get to follow. {{{{{Big Hugs}}}}}
