Day 14, October 22, 2008

Brisk morning. We stayed in La Porte, Indiana on Hwy 35. Dan, Kent, Mallory and Austin went for a morning walk and found some pretty leaves. We headed southeast on Hwy 6 to Hwy 69 to try to hit Michigan. Across Indiana we saw more rolling hills. Something really interesting is that some Indiana license plates say In God We Trust. Amazing! We saw more and more farm ground, tractors and combines. After going north on Hwy 69 to Michigan, we stayed going east on the back country roads. We saw alot of Amish farms and communities. There were some Amish people with their buggies, and wagons. It was neat to see. We saw "Carpenter Road" and "California", Michigan. Then we headed south on the I 80-90 turnpike to Ohio. Ended up towards Cleveland to try to see some of the Great Lakes. Got off the I 90 and got mixed up and ended up going Hwy 2 which led us into the Cleveland Heights downtown in a very uncomfortable area. In the beginning we started taking pictures, but by the middle of Cleveland, we were very nervous. We prayed the Lord would get us out of there. We praise Him that we found a man next to us at a stoplight that gave us directions to Hwy 90. Wade was the most blessed because he slept through it all. We ended up in Austinburg, Ohio. Safe and sound!! Thank you Lord for your protection. Many answered prayers yesterday. Thank you all for continually praying for us.
